Russia became Uzbekistan`s ally
President of Russia Vladimir Putin and president of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed Treaty about ally relationships between Russia and Uzbekistan.
Document was signed on Monday after negotiations of Putin and Karimov, which took place in Kremlin. In particular, treaty gives an opportunity to use military objects of each other. Signed treaty has to be ratified and comes into force after instruments of ratification exchange.
After negotiations with Karimov Putin noticed that Russia and Uzbekistan come on principally new, maximum close level of co-operation. Among the most perspective spheres of co-operation, Putin called energetic, light and food industries, and agriculture.
"We are sure that close coordination of foreign policy will strengthen security of Russia and Uzbekistan, stability in Central Asia in general", - declared Putin.
Russia and Uzbekistan intend to do everything possible for neutralization of narcotic and terrorist threats from Afghanistan.
Putin also announced that there will be Days of Uzbekistan culture held in Russia in 2006.
